HYANNIS FIRE STATION
August 2019
Groundbreaking for the new Hyannis Fire District Headquarters Fire Station took place on Monday, May 8, 2017. The $18.5 million, 33,000 square foot station was built in two phases, allowing the station to remain in operation through the completion of Phase I. Phase I included 4 double deep drive-thru bays, and the 2 story offices and living quarters’ side of the new building. The old station was torn down and Phase II began, adding 3 additional double deep drive-thru bays. A separate mechanical repair shop facility was also built on the grounds.
CHATHAM CEMETERY
March 2018
In March of 2018 Dig It worked to remove earth from a hill between Union Cemetery and Stepping Stones Road. The new area will expand the cemetery; the fill is also being used to help expand Seaside Cemetery. Between the two, an additional 2,000 new gravesites were created.
MARTHA’S VINEYARD AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING BUILDING
November 2017
The new Martha’s Vineyard ARFF/SRE Building in the Town of West Tisbury consisted of the construction of a new, 19,000 sf modular steel-framed building. Work also included demolition of the existing ARFF/SRE and all associated site work.
